MJ Britton

MJ Britton is a transplant from New England. She was raised in Massachusetts, and joined the Army at 19, where she met her husband, Chip, right at the end of her 4-year commitment. When he bought her a Sportster, she knew he was definitely “The One!” Shortly after their wedding in 1985, they moved to Fort Bragg, NC where he spent the remainder of his 22 years with the 3rd Special Forces Group. While there, MJ volunteered in the school system daily, and served on the Fort Bragg School Board. In 1994, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and started a support group for other women in the area.

After retiring in 1999, they moved to Maine, to be near family and raise their children. Chip continued to work overseas, while MJ volunteered as an EMT 24/7, and worked full time at the Emergency Room.

In 2012 both kids decided they were moving to Phoenix, so MJ followed suit. Not only because the kids were moving, but the Maine winters had become unbearable. The previous winter they had to rent a backhoe, in order to get the bikes out of their garage and go to Florida.

Before leaving Maine, MJ started researching Phoenix – specifically the biker community – which is how she found Bikers for Boobies. Once here, she went to Harley Davidson of Scottsdale in order to collect on a promised hug from Shelly, and they have been sister-friends ever since.

When the board position was posted, MJ didn’t think twice about contacting Melissa. This was the opportunity she had been waiting for; and she is excited to be working directly with the recipients of this awesome charity.
